I obtained my BSN, RN from Brenau University in 1990 and my MSN, APRN in 2004 from Kennesaw State University. Since practicing as a nurse practitioner, I have been providing care to Seniors in internal medicine, emergency rooms, home healthcare and hospice care.

During my 20 years of nursing experience, I have gained a great respect for seniors and developed a strong desire to assist them in finding the best possible care for when they reach a point in their lives that they need assistance with their activities of daily living. This includes ambulating, bathing, medication administration, cooking, eating, dressing, house cleaning and many other things that we often take for granted.

It is my career in nursing that helped me realize the under-recognized need to help seniors plan for obtaining and affording high-quality care when they are no longer able to care for themselves. With the right help, this can be done without losing one's life savings. In addition to my extensive personal experience, I have a first-hand understanding of these struggles through dealing with my own father's and grandmother's battles with cancer. I was fortunate to have my grandmother live with me her last two years with the assistance of in-home caregivers provided through our Local Area on Aging and Medicaid.
